I was commenting in the zoo the other day that I sometimes feel a bit self-conscious of my age. Most of my friends are older (and theoretically wiser) than me, and sometimes I feel like a kid. This doesn't really bother me 99% of the time...

But then I realize that Kathleen Brennan married my celebrity boyfriend when I was only a year old.

One year old.

Really, that's more any girl's heart should have to take.

My husband has served Tom several times when he comes into the local bookstore -- we live about two towns away from his hometown. The last time it happened, he was calling me for some other reason, and mentioned Tom was in the store.

I said "You should tell him he should play the Joker in the next Batman movie," 'cause we'd been talking about it lately, but he couldn't see how he could work that into conversation, given all the employees try to play it cool. *g*
