Back in the saddle

Almost. The file is open again. I haven't written anything, mind you, but Dreams once again sits on my computer, ready for new words. I had to close it when the finals crunch started. This procrastination might become a problem. Writing papers the night before worked back in the day, but this grad school business might actually require a bit of serious thought.
The major goals for the next week or so include:
1. Fixing L's voice, which is hella flat. (And I still haven't pinpointed the cause, dammit.)
2. Getting A, the book's resident emotional cripple, to become emotionally invested in the story. Or creatively dropping a piano on his head, whichever happens first.
3. Making J not sound like something that crawled from the depths of a WB show. And wherever he came from, it wasn't Buffy or Angel.
And the thousand other things that need to be done or fixed in this dread wip-beast. We will finish it this summer, precious, won't we? Yesssss, precious.
Yay, summer vacation!
