If the sun went out, I wouldn't mind too much

And speaking of the glamour, I forgot to mention that The Bone Palace got a very nice (and totally spoilerific) review on Tor.com. I'm thrilled that the book is working--at least for some readers--the way I meant it to. After two (otherwise positive) reviews that call Savedra a transvestive, I'm especially happy.

No shit. I just don't know what to say about that.

It's a shame Emerald City closed. I would be interested to read Cheryl Morgan's review.

Clearly I overestimate Eddie Izzard's educational influence, among other things.

I just finished reading The Bone Palace. I love it and can't wait for the next installment to be out. ^_^

I just finished reading The bone palace last night, and it was great! The only drawback was that I want to read more about Savedra and Ashlin and Nikos, and since next book follows Isyllt's adventures elsewhere, I'm not sure you will return to them.

I want to. Cross your fingers that my publisher also wants me to.

I too am going to cross my fingers for this.
I really liked how that was handled and am hoping for a long lasting poly triangle.

Hi, i just finished The Bone Palace and loved it. I loved The Drowning City too - certainly enough that when I finally saw The Bone palace in my local book store I hurried to buy it.

However I did enjoy The Bone Palace more, the characters seemed to hit a stride and it was just a fantastic read.

Also, for bonus points, I grinned so wide when I read (paraphrased):
"Where does the fashionable perfume come from this season?"
"Kebechet at the Black Phoenix"

Bonus kudos for that. I love my bpal.

I also liked the BPAL reference and the whole novel in fact, storming! More please :)
