Bone Palace update

It turns out that I won't be receiving ARCs for The Bone Palace. Some publishers are eliminating them to save money; Orbit only does them for first books in series. Well, fiddlesticks.

I'd hoped to do a giveaway contest thingy before December, but now I'm not sure what I'd use for prizes. Does anyone have any clever ideas?

I guess this means I need to get off my ass and try a book trailer...

That's kind of a shame. Though you could offer personalised copies once it's out. Or tuckerisations?

Yeah, that's a great place to try and save money. Sometimes publishing is so filled with the dumb.

Not even e-ARCs?! That is just wacky.

A personalized copy when it's released would be a good prize, I agree... assuming that you still get a few author copies.

Orbit is trying out a new e-galley system, but it may not be up and running in time for Bone Palace.

Can you make your own ARCs? Even if it's just spiral-bound copies?
