Today the Partners in Climb went to Enchanted Rock for bouldering and top-roping. It was gorgeous--the best weather I've ever had at E-rock, and lots of fun. Alas, we only set one rope route (a 5.9 slab) and I wussed out halfway up due to lack of feet. (On a ledge, not the slabby parts.) This is the second outdoor route I've ever wussed on, so I'm rather cross with myself. But really, couldn't find any feet. Bouldering was better, since I finally topped out on an outdoor problem that wasn't a chimney. I then of course freaked out on the downclimb, as is my wont. But it was so nice out and the hiking was so pleasant that I consider the day a win.
Then I ate a calzone as big as my head, and now I'm very sleepy.
The end.
