Blood is my life.

I may be in love with Dexter. It's fun, funny, gorgeous, and ohmyghod Michael C. Hall is hot. HOT. HOT.
It's not as smart as Criminal Minds, or as meta--from what I can tell from one disk--and certainly not as true. There's definitely some romanticizing going on. (And I will never be satisfied until they tell me--did he wet the bed, and did he start fires?) But therein is my love. I have a serious kink for beautiful monsters, and Criminal Minds, with its truthfulness, does not indulge that kink. I'm glad Michael C. Hall is here for me in my hour of need.
It does, however, win in the one area where CM fails--setting. Dexter is really in Miami, and I am not doing the cringing and weeping at bad accents and bolo ties.
(So far I've spotted two CM actors, as there are only 12 actors or so in Hollywood for every cop show.)
So far the psychology is passable, and while there's been some cop-stupid, it's in-character cop-stupid, and hence forgiven. We'll see if the whole season can keep my disbelief from scraping the ground too badly. As long as Michael Hall is wearing a tight henley, I have hope.
