Darling: Isyllt planted her boot on [the demon's] head, forcing its face into the mud as she wedged the knife between vertebrae and sawed. It's not very pretty, but some things are still a joy to type.
Mean things: scratched by a zombie, covered in mud, depressing job

Symir's bay is totally full of those now.
When I get done with the next couple of scenes, I'm giving myself permission to go back and clean up the draft. I am in dire need of a calender and various world-building thingies. A map of the city would be great too.
I also have a bunch of drabbles to write.
ultharkitty's wants to be a whole story, and is now calling itself "Inland", because Edna St. Vincent Millay still rocks my world. And speaking of rocking, Dylan Thomas has given me both a title for a potential story collection--Death and Entrances--and a new epigraph for Salvage:
There shall be coral in your beds
There shall be serpents in your tides,
Till all our sea-faiths die.
And I'm not bitter about
matociquala's new title, even if I did have it first. At least at the rate I'm finishing novels, it'll be five years before that one is done or sold. :P
