"Penalty for lewd and lascivious acts on a child under 14 (Penal code, Section 188): 3, 6 or 8 years. Possible penalty for lewd and lascivious acts on your own child under 14 (1203.066): probation."
"Penalty for continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14 (288.5): 6, 12, or 16 years. Possible penalty for continuous sexual abuse of your own child under 14 (1203.066): probation."
Raping other people's children is bad. Raping your own children is not as bad. Incest loopholes such as these imply that children are property, whose parents can do with them as they please--effectively encouraging child molestors to breed their own victims. California law carries a higher penalty for dogfighting than for repeatedly raping your own children.
If this disgusts you and makes you want to do something, visit the National Association to Protect Children and find out how you can help. (If this doesn't disgust you, I suggest you remove yourself from the gene pool as soon as possible.)
PROTECT has already defeated incest exception laws in three states, as well as generally doing whatever they can to keep children safe from the very real monsters in the world. These are not monsters that will go away if you turn on the light or hide under your blankets.
