Updatery, novel edition

In spite of my California crankiness yesterday, it was a pretty good day. My editor (!!!) likes the blurb for Bone Palace, and the book continues to behave. I spent yesterday layering in 50% more forensic details into chapter 1, and generally expositing all over the place.

And today brings this! Eeee! (And wow, I think he blurbed the book better than I did. It's so nice to have professionals to do this for me now. [It's that "currently titled" that fills me with dread, though. It's hard enough coming up with one title I like.])

Today I'm going to pin down the POVs in Bone Palace. I was still waffling over POV at 60+k of TDC, and I do not want to do that again. If I stick with three, I should be okay with Isyllt, Isyllt's boss, and the prince's mistress. Unless I wanted to do an all-girl book like I did in TDC, but then the villainess (mmmm, villainess...) would get the third, and then my Shocking Revelations wouldn't be so shocking... Gah!

I'm rewriting all of the 16k I have to layer in exposition and coolshit and fix the word rep that I am never free of. So far I've added 1000 words of exposition and forensics to chapter 1, making it the largest chapter 1 in any book of mine so far. It's very odd, having fat chapters so early.
