Words today: 1239, but half of that was restarting an aborted scene, and then I deleted some notes from the end of the file, so the metre only creeps up a bit.
Reason for stopping: The characters are in a Mexican standoff, and none of us know what to do next.
Sustenance: That vilest of substances, fake nacho cheese, followed by mint tea to make my stomach feel better. :P I think that craving is dead for a good long while.
Darling: Darlings? What are those?
Tyop: "Does your author still stand?" The answer is no, she really doesn't.
Mean things: Zhirin - suddenly being in charge, botching her stealth and awareness rolls. Isyllt - on the verge of passing out from exhaustion at an inopportune time.
Bookly quirks: They have wandered off the known map, into a land bereft of setting. Seriously, none at all. I suspect
jmeadows has made off with it all.
Two pov characters, three important secondary characters, seven redshirts, seven drawn guns. Only one of the people with names can die at this point, so I suspect the blood of many redshirts will be spilled. Well, another named person could snuff it, but that might be too horrible. Which means maybe I should do it. Hrm. I was going to kill her before the end of the book anyway...
What do you think? Thumbs up or thumbs down?
