Dig that hole just a little deeper
Dec. 9th, 2004 05:19 pm'Cause I've got a few books that need to be buried too. They won't all be written for a few years, but the extant body of literature featuring (gasp!) Gay People should keep the bacon-cravers busy for a while.
matociquala's work alone will keep those shovels working.
The funny thing is, we laugh at the idea of a Gay Agenda, but one may really exist before this is over. Of course, people have crusaded against ignorance, hatred, greed and hypocrisy for a very long time. (What was his name? Could it be....Jesus?)
O Canada, O Canada, wie schoen sind deine Blaettern... Or however it really goes. I'll be happy when I live in a country where my marriage is not a farce.

A word to the fen
Dec. 9th, 2004 08:07 pmFor all you Buffy fans, I recommend Reading the Vampire Slayer: An Unofficial Critical Companion to Buffy and Angel, edited by Roz Kaveney. It contains some very intelligent and interesting essays on themes and influences in the Buffyverse, and a handy episode guide through season 5. And lots of particularly funny quotes. A nice stocking stuffer for that academic geek in your life.
