Allas and weylawey!
Mar. 12th, 2004 12:22 pmUNT has lost half of its Medieval Studies department, seriously thwarting students (like me) who might wish to pursue such things. The English department also isn't knocking themselves out to replace this wayward prof. The head of the department already said to our remaining medievalist, "Do we really need another medievalist when we have you?" I believe his response was something like, "Uhm, yeah..." And people wonder why I don't want to teach.
The end result of this is that I don't get to take Medieval Women's Biography in the fall, and no one knows when we'll get classes besides the two I've already taken. If I'm lucky, I can at least start Latin. If not, it's the glamorous world of Phonetics for me.
Alack!
