And so I make my way into the Dread Middle of the Book. Again. I might come closer to 50k this month than I expected.

Rae is about to embark on her zombie safari, and insists on wandering into parts of Vancouver I never saw and can't find pictures of. I'm glad the scene is dark and foggy. :P

Today I finally picked up a Joe Lansdale book. Happy doth it make me.

Tell me where she's wandering and I'll help if I can.

Warehouses by the docks. I had the idea it was around Coal Harbour, but now I can't remember why I thought that.

Hmmm, there are a couple of docks, one in downtown Vancouver by Gastown, the other in Surrey. Do you have this link?

Coal Harbour used to be where I caught the seaplanes from Vancouver to Vancouver Island. I don't remember any warehouses, but then, I wasn't looking for any. *g* Now they've upscaled the place something fierce. (I don't think there's many warehouses left, but please don't take my word as the final say.)

I forgot to say, the Vancouver docks are close to Coal Harbour, especially the ones near Water Street, so perhaps the webcams might be of some use...

Thanks!

I'm probably on crack, but some time in the last draft my brain decided that 'Coal Harbour warehouse' was an acceptable setting. Really all I want is something spooky and secluded by the waterfront where wackiness can ensue.

Nothing scarier than wandering by the docks by Gastown, then. Even at 9pm, it's like a ghost town. You keep looking over your shoulder. The container trains are being either hooked up or unhooked, so there's all this banging to finish off the creepiness.

Nothing to be spooked at in Coal Harbour, unless designer shopping bags and cruise ship tourists freak you out. *g*
