Can't breathe through my nose. Feels like a grapefruit has grown in my sinuses, but without the tangy citrus goodness. Blargh.

Finished editing Chapter 4, with only minor tweaks. I'll probably tweak it more later. It's hard to be objective about some of this prose, having seen it so often. When I'm not hating it with all the hate, it seems mostly okay. Not as gorgeous as I want, not lush, perhaps a bit workmanlike, but not actually awful. I can't seem to talk this book out of simple language.

I must make this book sexy again, because I realize it needs at least two more drafts. This one, to fix all the plot problems and overangsting and give it a real ending, and then I'll look for gamma readers (so run now) and see if their opinions warrant another pass. And then maybe I'll be willing to show it to agents.

My goal is to have a submittable draft by the end of the year. Because two and a half years is enough for this book. Really.
