I am still alive

In case anyone wondered.
My weekend went a little something like
Friday -- saw Land of the Dead. Love it with the love. Zombies, zombies, gratuitously shirtless John Leguizamo, more zombies--there is nothing not to love. You whippersnappers can keep your fancy zippy undead. Zombies shamble, goddamit.
Saturday -- was scheduled to get up at 8 to help the
driveforlife people on a doggie run. Woke up at 6 to a phone call from one of the people I was supposed to meet; she had food poisoning and couldn't drive. So I shambled around and went to retrieve the puppies that were supposed to come to me. Came back to Denton and picked up the fourth dog--Chester, the world's most adorable Newfoundland--and drove a car full of dogs to Oklahoma.
Came home, went to lunch, where we saw three random Finnish boys at the bar in Bennigan's, watching the Rangers game. Finnish accents make ordinary boys much cuter. I wanted to take their cute vowels home with me.
Shambled down to Arlington to hang out with some friends, where we saw part of the live action Cutie Honey movie. Did not have enough alcohol to finish it. There might not be enough alcohol in the world.
Sunday -- washed my car, and tried to remove the pounds of hair and drool that Chester, the world's most adorable Newfi, left on my seats. I had enough fur there to make my own dog.
Poked Prayers until a scenelet fell out. Now I just have to get some redshirts eaten by the Formless Spawn, and we'll be moving again.
