Bookkeeping

Five books now in 2005

Hammered, Bitten, The Book of Jhereg, Set This House in Order, and now Barbara Hambly's Dead Water. I read DW in one fell swoop at work yesterday.

I would read answering machine instructions if Barbara Hambly wrote them, but I'm happy to say that I enjoyed Dead Water a little more than Wet Grave. Maybe even more than Days of the Dead, though I'm not sure yet. The ending of WG was just a tiny bit too convenient for my taste. (Why yes, my house is made of glass.) The only thing wrong with DW was the lack of Abishag Shaw, with whom I am deeply smitten.

I think I'll wait till I've kicked the ass of of a couple of my own scenes before I start a new book.
