Today I forgot that I don't phase through solid objects and should actually watch where I'm walking. Now I have a toe a lovely shade of plum and twice its normal size. Thankfully my boy is here to bring me ice packs and bandages and ice cream. (Because ice cream is exactly what you should have when you're incapable of exercising.)

Words and words and words. Dreams keeps going. I'm finally to the shit-hitting-fan part, (again) thank god. Second draft should be finished some time in January, if not by New Year's.

And other words--naughty, illicit ghoul words. I redid the scene I posted earlier (revision is posted for the curious), added some expo and detail and played around with the wacky objective pov some more. It's officially a prologue right now, and I'll start the ghoul book in earnest as soon as this draft of Dreams is finished. I was sad to discover that Hounds and Jackals has been used already, so I'm still looking for a title.

Ghouls are really oversexed, is all I know. Lovecraft would twitch in his grave at the amount of hot ghoul on ghoul on paleontologist action I am contemplating.

I think just the twitching. I get the feeling sex was one of the great scary things for HPL. Or tickling, or nuzzling...
