mrissa says smart things about women's clothing woes here. I'm a strange mutant who's actually been able to find jeans I like that fit me for the past few years. Low-slung, flare-legged jeans are the best thing that ever happened to my ass.

(My personal conspiracy theory is that lately jean makers and belt makers are out to get us all. Jeans get lower, until one has to wear a belt or flash one's underwear (or worse). I'm not too keen on sharing my underwear with coworkers and random passers-by, so belts are the way to go. But lately the quality of belts seems to be getting worse and worse, though their price has not dropped accordingly.)

But I see a lot of skinny girls whose clothes don't flatter them at all, and the clothes don't look cheap.
