Life is pain, Princess.

500 words on Kingdoms of Dust today, in between cleaning and working on "Spell 81A". Yay, book!

I just wrote this: "You sound like a [cult that espouses the inherent ugliness and brutality of the world]. When did you become so cynical?"

And now I pause to figure out what exactly that cult is called. Any ideas?

Hobbesian? Pessimist? There is actually a term for that view of the world, its tickling the back of my mind in a really... really... really annoying way.

I'm thinking something with the word grotesque in it... Or were you aiming for something more primitive?

Nirrti is a Hindu goddess of death and destruction; most worship of her in the real-world is of the "please go away" variety. But you could have a really deviant cult that adored her and invited her in all the time. If you were looking for a cult that follows a deity rather than just an ideology.
