matociquala totally saved my village today. She helped me figure out some relevant backstory that lets me not have to unperson my favorite character. In fact, he is now twice as awesome. The backstory of this book has more melodrama than a whole afternoon of soap operas. It makes me happy. Now I just need to figure out where and how to fit the important bits into the story. And finish the attack of the demon birds.
