I set out one night when the tide was low

The titling contest continues. Right now,
porphyrin is in the lead, with "Shoggoth with Grace Notes: An Etude in B Minor". That's grown two characters and some scenes, but I will leave the contest open another day.
Of course, the characters it's grown insist they belong in the Fishsexstravaganza book. And one of them appears to be a thirteen-year-old girl. Which would bring the total of teenage girls in Salvage to three. Whiskey Tango Fruitbat?! The world does need more Cthulhu YA, but I'm not sure I should be the one to write it.
This proto-story also raises the question: What is a seemingly sensible sorceress like Esther Waite doing working with Deep Ones? She helped breed the Fishatz Hadderach, but I don't know why.
Also, why does Salvage want 29 billion characters?
