I sent another 5.10 (minus-ish, but still) tonight! After the Age of Sloth I've been going through, this is very encouraging. My bouldering still isn't back up to snuff, but I need a) lose the rest of this extra weight I've picked up (four pounds gone as of the end of last week, so yay Discipline), and b) get my beloved Coyotes resoled, because my Nagos are like comfy bedroom slippers--a suboptimal condition in a climbing shoe.

The poll looks promising, so there will be a sale. I'll probably start it on Wednesday.

I'd heard enough about Thor to imagine it would be watchable, and indeed it was. Chris Hemsworth was surprisingly charming, Tom Hiddleston was excellent and hot, no one sucked, and Branagh and the writers were nice enough to let Anthony Hopkins sleep through half the film. And after playing the Lord Marshall in Riddick, there was nowhere for Colm Feore to go but up. It was a perfectly acceptable addition to the growing Avengers franchise. As long as I can sever all associations to actual mythology, my stomach doesn't cramp. (But Loki certainly kept his figure well after giving birth to an eight-legged foal.)

I'm left with two certainties:

1) A casket of ancient winters would make Texas a hell of a lot more liveable, and

2) I have to write Shadowhand, and soon. Really soon. Really. Like now.

Oh, and 3) that Foo Fighters song at the credits was horrible.
