Thank you for all the condolences about the cat.

Yesterday was a much better day, involving birthday sushi for a friend and no death. Today I get to spend alternating writing with cleaning the house, since my parents are coming over tomorrow. With any luck, in addition to a clean kitchen, I can also get to the beginning of a sandstorm today.

And speaking of the glamour, I forgot to mention that The Bone Palace got a very nice (and totally spoilerific) review on Tor.com. I'm thrilled that the book is working--at least for some readers--the way I meant it to. After two (otherwise positive) reviews that call Savedra a transvestive, I'm especially happy.
