I have survived Thanksgiving, and this morning's Black Friday sale for which I was up before 6 AM. I have also survived the first round of leftovers, and will soon attempt to survive a matinee of The Deathly Hallows I: Three Hours of Walking in the Woods, or whatever the proper subtitle is. Then I will come home and stare at Kingdoms, which I haven't done in days.
My single but all-encompassing problem with NaNo is that November is not novel writing month. November is Halloween recovering/holiday planning/house cleaning/finals cramming/present buying/retail crunching/overspending month. Every year I tell myself I'll write in November, and every year I'm lucky if I get 10k.
