Another human interest story
Aug. 9th, 2010 10:57 pmI need to get a handle on my Spunky Apprentice character, and I don't have the leisure of letting her unfold over several drafts. Does anyone have any characterization exercises they've had luck with?
cucumberseed was talking about two-song characters, and I love the idea, but I'm too fussy about songs to use it properly. I especially need to figure out what she's afraid of, if I'm ever going to back her into a corner.
20. What are your favorite character interactions to write?
Witty conversations are great, but dialogue has never been my strong point, so these are few and far between. Alternately, any two-character scene where actions are as revealing as dialogue is fun. More than two characters in a scene starts to get cumbersome for me.
