But the rain did not keep anyone from seeing the Pogues. Despite a tragic lack of "Turkish Song of the Damned" (almost made up for with "Fiesta"), this was very nearly the best show I've seen this year. They would have made it too, if not for those pesky kids Leonard Cohen. And really, you need to get up very early in the morning to compete with Evil Sexy Leonard Cohen.

For those keeping track, Shane was incomprehensible, wobbly, and prone to meandering, but still pretty awesome. (And looking alarmingly like Cassidy in his shades. That would explain a bit, wouldn't it?)
