Stuff and things

This would be one of my favorite January books anyway, but it certainly doesn't hurt that it contains one of my favorite lines ever: I'll speak to them, Mamzelle Marie had said, with a world of implied chicken foot in her enigmatic eyes.
The Bone Palace
77010 / 100000 words. 77% done!
I write and I write, and the ending gets farther and farther away. I need to figure out how to flesh out an important character who doesn't show up till 80k in. That's problematic. I mostly need to figure out how to balance the whole book's structure, since it's started to list to one side.
Character quirks: Isyllt likes Amy Winehouse.
Today's trivia: Cadaverine, the molecule produced by protein hydrolysis during putrefaction of animal tissue, is part of what gives urine and semen their particular smells. Sexy.
A good climbing night, especially after skipping the rest of the week. I've lost my stamina for hard 5.9s and 5.10s, but I made some progress on bouldering problems.
There is no fifth thing.
