Wanted: one replacement day

The day began with my car window coming off track (due in turn to the crazy door sensor that has led to too much door slamming recently). This means a fussy home repair, because I will not pay what professionals are asking to replace the whole window system. Right now my window is stuck halfway open. I hope this is enough to convince the weather gods to send rain.
Then followed an annoyingly busy day at work--three hours on phone detail, and it never. Stopped. Ringing. And then the boy texts me to let me know that the AC at the house has gone out.

joie_de_poulpe kept this evening from being a total wash. Now I'm home, in the unairconditioned house, facing the prospect of removing my favorite side character from Bone Palace, because he will not, as written, fulfill his contractual antagging responsibilities.
I will now ogle pictures of Alan Rickman (who I'm casting to replace Richard O'Brien), and drug myself till I can fall asleep.
