What the hell is wrong with this language, people? Seriously!

I just sorted out a huge piece of motivation and backstory for Bone Palace, and wow, it's so much worse than I realized. I knew one of the characters involved was an asshole, but holy cow! I love it when they surprise me.

I played hooky from climbing tonight, but I think my wordcount justifies it. I'm still gleeful about my earlier epiphany, and boggled by the sheer awfulness of it. It explains so much about several people's actions, and will make something else down the line that much stronger. My next goal is to figure out what Richard O'Brien Varis's damage is, and peel off all his defenses. Right now he's much too sane to be hanging out with the rest of these head-cases.

There was once a book-casting meme floating about LJ, and I think I'll resurrect it, since I'm feeling spammy. Probably not very interesting unless you also cast books, or like having visual references, or care about the crazy things writers obsess over. :P
