Stuff and books and things
Jan. 16th, 2009 11:31 pmI can haz edit letter! Apparently I do not exposit enough. :P So I will be fixing up TDC (and it really is TDC! I get to keep my title!) for the rest of the month, and then it's back to the plot and wordmines of Kessel until I have a draft of Bone Palace. Poor Dreams--maybe we can have brief and messy trysts every time Bone Palace has a headache.
Three very squeeful words were included in the edit letter: preliminary, cover,, and art. More on that as its mysteries are revealed to me.
Bookkeeping:
5. Another Life - Andrew Vachss. I will be sad if this is truly the end of the series, but it's a good one to end on. Luckily I'd resigned myself several books ago to the thing I wanted most not happening, so I wasn't unduly crushed. But still, aww.
I'm glad I read this as fast as I did, because my horrible awful nogood dog ate it yesterday morning. She also ate one of my James Lee Burke novels a couple weeks ago. I do not appreciate her good taste in this regard. This leads me to start a list of Things Gretchen Has Eaten:
2 novels (1 hardback, 1 mmpb)
1 comforter (on the bed)
1 sheet (on the couch)
Several tennis balls
1 plastic tub that formerly served as her pool
The tips of one of my shoelaces
2 1/2 rawhide bones
3 stuffed monkeys and a hedgehog in a pear tree
