Back when these characters lived in my Dread Juvenilia project, It was fine that I had a Kieran and a Kiril. They were never in the same country, after all, let alone the same scene. No problem, thunk I.

Now, of course, they're not only in the same scene, but the same paragraph. Gah. And Kieran can't go back to being Ciaran, because we no longer live in PanGaelica

Anyone have any suggestions for a too-charming musician with a mysterious past who comes from somewhere in the wilds of eastern FauxEurope?

Girl vs. wall: sailing edition

Maybe the other shoe is my less than stellar climbing performance of late. I warmed up on a vertical 5.9 just fine, but when I moved to the negative pitched wall I proceeded to sail right off a 5.8 and another 5.9 (it was like a high school rendition of Peter Pan, with the sailing), and epically failed to start a 5.9+. My stamina and higher brain functions ran off down the road for a beer or something, I think. It was ridiculous. I finished by zipping up a pretty little dihedral number, though, which the owners swear is a 5.8, but it's so easy that I'm skeptical.

That negative 5.8 is going to die! Any day now. Really.
