So, I was trying to work on the revisions, but I got bogged down in google-research trying to write one frelling paragraph. Then matociquala showed me this video by A Place to Bury Strangers, so I had to go listen to their album on iTunes.

It's like Joy Division with a Catherine Wheel aftertaste, and a hint of Cure. And some blatantly stolen riffs. Either the ghost of Ian Curtis is banging on their window right now, or they've trapped him in a guitar pick using darkest necromancy. They might even have stolen the Cone of Drone while Von was on a meth-bender. Either way, I like it.

The latest issue of Weird Tales is out! This is the first issue with Ann VanderMeer's fiction selections, including my story "Catch", about emo angels and razorblades. The ToC also includes Erik Amundsen, M. Thomas & Paul Tremblay, Jonathan Wood, Clayton Kroh, Scott Andrews, and Michael Boatman. "Catch" has a very nice illustration by Julie Dillon. Squee!

ETA: The picture is up here, middle pic in the second row of the Personal Art gallery--The Fall of Icarus. That is just thematically perfect for the story.
