First squee of the year (A Squee in Two Acts)

Squee the first: His Majesty King Hubero the felty-bear has arrived from Darkest Canada. Soon he shall be united with his blind fairy girl on my desk, and maybe they'll tell me more of their story. It's working title may be "The Path of Thorns". We'll see.

Squee the second: "Smoke & Mirrors" has been chosen for Juno's Best New Romantic Fantasy, sequel to last year's Best New Paranormal Romance. (Different title, same series.) Hopefully the whole ToC will be announced soon.

ETA: News of my first ToC-mate, and more proof of Paula Guran's excellent taste--[livejournal.com profile] sovay's "The Depth Oracle" will also be reprinted in BNRF. This story has all the gorgeous ever.

And the second: [livejournal.com profile] truepenny, with "A Light in Troy".

Squeee!

So...close... And yet...never there.

This is the stupidest cough in the history of coughs. Never mind that my head is full of multi-colored cottage cheese, I have this dry irritating dust-bunny cough that won't leave me alone.

But I also have Ink waiting at home, and that is good.

And today I figured out the name of the apostate angel in Mist & Chill. Between that, Loki, and the wonderful fun I can have with gangrenous wounds, M&C is making a strong bid to be The Next Book.
