My reign as Queen of Cranklandia is not over, it seems. I spent two days dealing with the near-comedic incompetence of my pharmacy, and now I'm learning even more about the upcoming "renovation" of a street near campus, where renovation means tearing down old and cool things and replacing them with overpriced crap, fast food, and parking garages. This is one of the downsides to living in one place long enough to give a damn about it.
And
greygirlbeast has had a visit from the Christmas crackheads, too. I am not overcome with holiday joy*.
Soon, at least, I will be able to retreat to my house for a week and play King's Quest and look at pictures of hamsters and bunnies.
-------
*Mostly I think idea of holiday spirit is right up there with Black History Month--being a decent human being isn't something you should pay attention to for one particular day, or week, or even month.
