stillsostrange: (Angel)
as black as stone
as mad as birds

I think I must have passed into an alternate dimension while we were out driving tonight.

I'm thinking up plot stuff.

I had the main conflict for Pinion all along, but was lacking subplots to keep things interesting. Tonight some of those fell into place. And then a new antag showed up, an adorably nasty critter who calls herself the Strix. Of course, she wants pov. The 10k I wrote six months ago already had 7 povs. If either of the angels get uppity, this book could become very crowded indeed.

This book is serious enough to want me to draw things. I also have fan art for [livejournal.com profile] jmeadows, [livejournal.com profile] mekkavandexter, and [livejournal.com profile] matociquala that I've been thinking of for a long time. Maybe I should try to work on that while I'm still on vacation.

The title "Wounded in the Wing": good, or goofy?

It is so gorgeous and autumny outside. Why am I not sitting in the sun by the fountain?

The story that will probably not be called "Wounded in the Wing" after all because I think I hate that title:
Words today -- 722
Words total -- 722
Reason for stopping -- Brain dead. Stupid now.
Sustenance -- red curry noodles
Mean things -- cut Gabriel on a rusty nail
Books in Progress -- [livejournal.com profile] sovay's Singing Innocence and Experience
Horrible discoveries -- I can't get Sampoernas anymore. No more happy menthol cloves. :( I have Djarums, but I don't love them as much.

I didn't realize how much I/my characters rely on smell until I can't use it. Miss Strix is not so hot with the olfactory, and it's driving me crazy. I wonder how well my angels smell.

I think the fluorescent lights have eaten my brain.
