Hey, you!

Yeah, you . (Ah, for a language with a plural you...)

Enough with the raptures of autumn, okay? You've somehow convinced my brain and the pit of my stomach that it's fall, and when we walk outside for lunch and hit the heat, we'll all be disappointed.

Unless, of course, you'd like to fly me out to wherever you are, so I can rapture with the autumn, too.

In sadder news, our albino squirrel is dead. I've heard a rumor that he was eaten by a hawk, but have not confirmed this. There's a memorial service today. This is a dark day for everyone at UNT, and a horrible omen.

Oh, woes...

I went home for lunch. No part of my anatomy thinks it's autumn anymore.

There to greet me was my slushbomb rejection. John tried to lull me with a nice comment about the Campbell tiara, but we know he's really The Man keeping us down. If rejections don't do it, he'll post unflattering pictures. Watch out.

Now I guess I have to fix the silly story and sub it somewhere else.

If my desire to be in Germany were any stronger, I would spontaneously combust and reform phoenix-like in a bar in Freiburg. If that doesn't happen, I'll settle for saving some money and buying a plane ticket.

Ahem

A letter to my brain )

Nothing to see here, be on your way...
