Home again, home again
Aug. 20th, 2006 11:52 amWith a bottle of water from Detroit, but without my luggage. Not so much a fan of NorthWest Air.
The airline said my bag would be returned to me today. I eagerly await its arrival.
At no airport I went through (DFW, Minneapolis, Detroit, Bradley) were bags searched for contraband liquids or gels, or was security any worse than it has been. Bradley had some strange new machine that puffed air in order to test for chemicals, but half the people in line didn't have to walk through it. It seemed like a thing whose purpose was to scare cats.
In short, Connecticut is gorgeous, New York was a lot of fun, and a good time was had, even if I was pmsing for most of it, and had still not recovered from the introvert-fit inspired by Arkansas and my in-laws. Also, Ellen Datlow is allowed to take pictures of me, while
slushgod is not.
I have some pictures, and will try to get them up on Flickr today.
Now that I'm home, I have to quickly turn in edits for some fancy editors, and then...crawl back to the novel.
