Argh, I say, argh

This edit of "Garden" is officially the most frustrating revision since the last really frustrating revision (which was probably Dreams). Some of the suggested changes fall into that annoying between-place where I don't really want to make them, but I cannot dismiss them as cracktastic, either. My hindbrain's response to "more sense of danger" is "You encounter 2d6 chasey hound-monsters!"--which, yanno, not so useful. Though I'm not sure you can ever have too many chasey hound-monsters.

I'm very close to drowning this story in a bucket and moving on to "Blue Valentine", which I need to finish by next week.

(Ladies, don't forget: August 18th is the FSF girl-cootie slushbomb.)

But I did deposit two CD packages in the mail this morning, so go me.

The whirlwind life of Adventuregirl

I thought I would have to sacrifice my trip north this summer to see Tom, but after listening to [livejournal.com profile] matociquala and [livejournal.com profile] stillnotbored talk about all the fun things they're doing, I cracked and checked Expedia. And lo, there was a shockingly low price for tickets to CT. And lo, I tried to buy them, and Expedia pulled a last minute donkey-suck and quadrupled the price.

But by then I was determined, so I checked the airline's webpage, and lo, they were even cheaper there. So, barring disaster, I am going to New England next week. Expedia can go back to whatever they were doing with that donkey.
