(no subject)

My flash piece "Brambles" is live today (complete with hideously embarrassing typo) at Cabinet des Fees , where I share a ToC with the loffly and talented cristalia.

To balance that, an 8 (EIGHT) month rejection this morning. I'm not sure I even remember the story anymore. At least now I have a back-up piece for the slushbomb, if anything goes wrong with "Blue Valentine".

But why is the coffee gone?

General stuff

I read over TSG again, and by some small miracle the eight-month-old draft is (mostly) clean of word rep and stupid prepositions. And I'm still very fond of it. I may hate my novels half the time, but I love my short stories the way jmeadows loves her books. TSG also has the most unrelentingly awful ending I've written to date. Well, the witch wins, so maybe it's not so bad...

More mail, in the form of CDs from sovay. Yay, mail.

My new computer is set up, and though we've known each other only a brief time, already we have much in common. Like our opinions as to whether there's a CD in the drive, and if it can be read, played, and/or ripped. So if you're waiting on CDs from me, I can finally burn them. But I'm going out of town tomorrow, so the burning and mailing will happen next week.
