Different progress
Jun. 18th, 2006 12:57 amToday was an I Quit day, since my brain has been demanding art, which is usually a sign that the words need recharging. So I bought some acrylics and gesso (to replace the ten year old art supplies I've been dragging around since high school) in an attempt to teach myself to paint. No actual paint was harmed today, but I have a sketch I don't hate. Some fanart for
jmeadows is first on the list, with stuff for
matociquala and
mekkavandexter in the conceptual stages.
Drawing always makes me appreciate writing more. With words, you can always go back and fix something, and rushing something is not fatal. Ink and paint are much less forgiving.
