Another rejection, three more queries.
I'm poking at the angel book, slowly but surely. Because no novel I write will be kind, this one has the opposite problem that TDC did. TDC had all kinds of shiny plot bits, complications galore, but no coherent story to move the book forward. This thing has a story, but none of the shiny complicated bits. And all my characters have simple, realistic sorts of goals. What's up with that? They need to wish impossible things, dammit! And then nearly kill themselves trying to do them.
Also, the thing needs a title bad. In the Night Mirror, while a lovely title, is not the title of this book. Neither is Face to Face, Angel Rain, or Some Kind of Angel. I want a sexy one-word title, but which word? Fascia is stuck in my head, and it's good because a lot of this book is about connections and things, but that still doesn't sound right.
