It only took three hours for me to spot the first instance of embarrassing word-rep in "Wrack."

Ahh, the glamour.

And THEN I was mugged by something new, yet another frickin' ocean story, inspired by the Halfmoon Reef lighthouse . It is evil and wicked and nearly full-grown in my head. Like Athena, but hexagonal with an oil lamp on top.

Fun research of the day: "The rations provided per keeper at Halfmoon Reef in the 1870s consisted of two half-barrels of salt pork, the same amount of salt-beef, two barrels of flour, fifty pounds of brown sugar, twenty-four pounds of unground green coffee, fifty pounds of rice, four gallons of vinegar, ten gallons of peas or beans, and two barrels of potatoes."
