A letter to the meatpuppet

Dear Meatpuppet,

Thanks for all the hard work. I really appreciate you being here with all your parts and generally functioning most days, even under suboptimal conditions. I also appreciate that you like to be healthy, and not a slug. That's really great.

But I think maybe you take the healthy thing a little far sometimes.

It was only a donut! Stop acting like I poisoned you!

Another illusion shattered

For all my obsessions and compulsions, I've never thought of myself as a very addiction-prone person. (I'm one of the few people I know who can quit smoking without a fuss.) But today I went to Hobby Lobby to get sketchy/painty stuff, after nine years of not being a serious art person.

I swear, when I picked up a box of Prismacolors, I got the shakes. I nearly started rolling on the floor in a big pile of pencils and erasers and smudge sticks. And the watercolor board... *twitches*

Now we'll see if my talent has lasted this long too.
