I was looking through Alejandro Teran's site, having gone to check out his loffly Spanish edition cover of Swordspoint .
He also did Spanish covers for M. John Harrison's Viriconium books. They happen to be the most beautiful images of my city Erisin (from Crepuscule and oft-mentioned in TDC) that I can imagine.
Erisin during the plague
Autumn in Erisin
Gorgeous! Now I really have to finish both of these books.

I lobbed a turnip at an unsuspecting market this morning. Now I realize I'm out of turnips--everything's either out or trunked. I need more turnips.
Nate and the girls haven't recovered from their trunking yet. Nan and the time story are still simmering. Lailah the Crazy Girl is ready, but the rest of her story is stuck. The frog girls still don't have a plot. Salem still doesn't have a plot. Sephie's trying to convince me she needs a sequel, but she doesn't have a plot handy either.
Are you picking up on a theme, here?
Characters, characters, everywhere, and all the plots did shrink.

( But beware the ranty psuedospoiler! )
err... *ahem*
Anyway. I have never heard such a collective gasp in a theater. It was a single indrawn breath of disbelief, as dozens of people thought with one mind, oh my god, he didn't... That's a powerful sort of thing.
Sadly, my theater didn't take up the song at the end.
