The word boat, exciting and new
Sep. 5th, 2005 12:53 amI'm trying something new. Today I began the further adventures of Miss Isyllt Sue Whorebass, in a story that takes place a couple of years before the events I started in Crepuscule. We'll see how this goes.
Words tonight: 1051
Words total: 1051
Sustenance: potato chips and chai
Excercise: none, alas
Mammalian assistance: the boy is sick and moany in the bed across the room
Tyop du jour: rings in her rears, Isyllt tugged off her left clove
Darling du jour: "I find," she murmured, "that everyone is polite when they know you can steal their soul."
Mean things: mosquitoes, nasty heat. I was going to make her mopey, but she got distracted by the setting. Maybe I can stick some mopiness in when I revise.
Words that boggle Word: westering, ghostlight And a lot of made-up fantasyland words that will annoy the 'orkshoppers. :)
You learn a lot about a person by traveling with them. Back at home, Isyllt has no problems crawling through the sewers and getting in fights and being a badass. Put her on a boat for a few weeks and suddenly it's all I want a bed, I want a bath, I want clean clothes. Wuss.
And now to bed, if I can move the two cats who are hogging my half. Siggy is not quite so regal when she's sprawled across my pillow with her legs in the air.
