Books is evil

And they're all evil in different ways, the tricksy bastards.

Dreams, iirc, barrelled along to about 20k before its evil manifested. At least I had those few glorious productive weeks before the suck started.

Prayers is being slow and finicky about starting. It keeps waffling around 12k, lacking any semblance of cohesion. I get the feeling I'm missing something big, but I don't know what. Argh.

I need a bigger spork.
