Reason for stopping: Where the hell is this scene going?
Sustenance: tacos and ice cream
Darling: He doesn't stir from his fetal cocoon until the light drips honey and marmalade in the west and long shadows drag their bellies across the ground. (What is this purple of which you speak?)

Also, I revised Ebb today. It may be the final revision since it goes to that place in 2 days, but I posted it to the shop anyway.

Exercise--only 5 minutes of gothercise today, thanks to the Ankle of Doom and Swollenness. But, the tummy and arms are looking noticeably better lately. Next stop, Chiba, where I'll get rewired and pick up some razors and mirror lenses. Then I'll find myself a technical boy and make my fortune.

Err... I wish. I want an ass like the fusilage of a war plane. I do have a technical boy already, though.

Now I'll go try to find my straying plot.

I filled out NARAL's online birth control right petition that [livejournal.com profile] suricattus posted, and got this response from WalMart.

"Wal-Mart does not carry emergency contraceptives. Our pharmacists may
decline to fill a prescription based on personal convictions. However,
they must find another pharmacist, either at Wal-Mart or another
pharmacy, who can assist you by filling your prescription."

Because I'm sure the person who won't help you murder all those poor little eggs and sperm will really bust their ass to find someone who will. So perhaps you should just fill your prescriptions elsewhere. In fact, you should probably meet all your shopping needs elsewhere, if at all possible.

Reason for stopping: time to let the plot catch up
Tyop du jour: The window is open to the slugging night breeze...
Darling du jour: Certainly not the bitch Sycorax, black-lipped, bone-chewing Sycorax. Let the shadow-moths keep her distracted, if she does bother to stir from her den and corpse-slabs to spy. Sycorax is a scene-stealer, even though she may never appear in this book.

So far two plot threads are rushing forward, determined to entangle. (Yeah, there will be smutty bits when they do.) The third thread is limpy and lost and doesn't know where it's going and really doesn't care about getting there. I think it will be time for an intervention soon.
