Why do Tindalosi hounds wear hotpants?

He's a disheveled, oversexed ghoul on the run from his own kind. She's a tempestuous, high-kicking Tindalosi hound with someone else's memories. They fight Cthulhu!
The scary part? I'm serious.

katallen solved my problem in two seconds. (And that sentence is missing a vital component, as I doubt Kat agonized about my story very much. I botched my clause roll, apparently.) Now instead of not enough plot, I seem to have too much.
