I finally got to wear a sweater today. I'm sitting by the main doors at work and the draft is cold. The air smells cold. I am a happy, happy girl. I can wear coats, and big boots, and must no longer dread stepping out of the house. My cats will become even fluffier.

And my writing curse continues. Because it's autumn, the book I just started is set in late spring. My brain is full of grey skies and crunchy leaves and that wonderful bittersweet smell, and my characters are laying around sweating on top of their sheets wishing the AC could get any colder. This happens every single frickin' time I start a book.

So no matter what else happens by the end of the day, I got to wear a fuzzy sweater. It's all about the little things.

Addendum: El Paso, Presidio, La Salle, Willacy, Hidalgo, Jim Wells, Cameron -- All blue right now. Some results are still coming in. At least 15 counties in the Butt Puppet's home state are blue.

For those of you unfamiliar with Texas, these are counties along the southern border.
---

Starr, Jim Hogg, Brooks, Duval, Webb, Dimmit, Zavala, Travis.

These are the counties in Texas that came out blue. Nice to know not everyone in this state is willfully ignorant or a wannabe fascist. Austin stood up, at least.
