Rocky Horror--bring your own lube
Oct. 30th, 2004 02:22 amRocky Horror on campus tonight--wow, I feel old. Freshmen are so...wee...like my kittens. And the lines have changed in the past eight years. But I did get to see a coworker in neon yellow underoos, so that's something at least.
The real joy of the evening was wearing my vinyl pants for the first time and not squeaking, thanks to
matociquala and a tube of Astroglide.
On a more serious note, I'm beginning to feel like a cruel and capricious god.
matociquala,
katallen,
cristalia and I were sitting around the zoo singing Leonard Cohen at each other, and I realised that Hallelujah is the theme song for two characters' relationship. Which brings up "love is not a victory march/ it's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah". Not to mention "but all I ever learned from love/was how to shoot at someone who outdrew you". I love these two and I want them to be happy, but this, coupled with the knowledge of choices someone will have to make, does not forebode a happy ending. Sad! But neither I nor my characters believe in predestination, so we'll see where the story goes.
